"Struck" Throat

My throat feels like it is lined with sand paper.

Popsicles are the only thing that help.

Last summer when I was babysitting, Jackson, who was 4 at the time, told me that his older sister had "struck" throat. I tried to tell him that he meant strep throat. He told me, "No, she has struck throat."
So when the doctor told me I had strep throat that was one of the first things I thought of. That and the fact that I wouldn't be able to go to work because cancer kids and strep throat are not a good idea.

I am feeling better now though. The antibiotics are working. I am still banned from my work, but it feels good to just rest.

Man this heat is ridiculous!!
